Is Health Your Priority?

Everywhere, you can hear people say that health is wealth and without this wealth people can’t enjoy life to the fullest.  Logically, there is truth in this.  While most people choose to be healthy, sadly their lifestyle clearly disapproves it. Why? Because they can’t live by their good principle. For them, prioritizing health is probably visiting a doctor and expecting to be healthy for the rest of their lives. If this is what people think of, then health is not really their priority.

Why do you need to prioritize health? Simply because many people suffer from the consequences of not taking care of themselves.  For instance, many smokers don’t quit smoking even if they know they’re destroying their lungs. They have more pleasures in smoking cigarettes rather than choosing to live longer. Many people indulge in too much eating only to make their system work harder. People hate exercise even if they know exercise is a healthy habit. More and more people prefer to be physically inactive instead of doing physical exercise.

These only show that what most people believe in doesn’t really match their day-to-day actions. They give more value to the things that make them sick.  But remember to always “take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.” – Jim Rohn

With good health, the chances of developing cancer, heart disease, hypertension and diabetes will be eliminated. Taking care of your body lowers the blood sugar and cholesterol levels.  Blood and oxygen will run smoothly in every part of the body to help fight diseases and maintain good health.

A lethargic condition happens after consuming too much food, especially unhealthy, junkie foods.  On the other hand, eating right and keeping a balanced diet, will give the right amount of fuel to boost your energy. If you often feel lethargic and weak, chances are you’re not boosting enough energy to your body.

Longevity

Ultimately, the highest reward of prioritizing health is enjoying a long life. So, those people who work hard doing exercise, eating good foods, drinking more water and getting enough sleep have the higher chances of getting longevity.  Isn’t long life the desire of everyone? Yes, you can enjoy life to the fullest and be happy even when growing old.
